NOSM and HSFO The hour Summer Medical Devotee Enquiry Awards <<>>

On April 9, 2010, four Northern Ontario Votaries of Panacea (NOSM) medical students received research awards valued at $6,000 each from the Pluck and Massage Institution of Ontario (HSFO). An additional five NOSM medical students received NOSM Dean’s Summer Medical Student Research Awards, also valued at $6,000 each. This is the fifth year the Heart and Spasm Base of Ontario has sponsored Summer Medical Learner Experimentation Awards for NOSM medical students. This year brings to a triumphant conclusion a five-year commitment to NOSM from the Ticker and Pulsation Basement valued at all but $200,000. The HSFO student inspect projects furnish medical students with the chance to yield cardiovascular fact-finding training while working with an established NOSM researcher. The projects are carried out across Northern Ontario. The Northern Ontario Faction of Medicine (NOSM) is on cloud nine to announce that on April 7, 2010, Prime Delegate Stephen Harper attended an event in Sudbury to respect NOSM Associate Professor, Dr. Ray Wiss, for his contribution to the requirement of medical and military usage in Afghanistan. “It is to the men and women, like Dr. Wiss, who have answered the reprove to such service, that we owe so much of the genial and prosperity we enjoy to this very day,” the Prime Look after said.  Mr. Harper attended a commission by the Rotary Mace of Sudbury which honoured the physician and maker with the Paul Harris Intimacy Award, a distinction conferred on men and women who acquire custom-made significant contributions to creation accord and understanding.
